The lemon and garlic were perfect, and I think this would go with almost any type of meal. The kale even retained some color.

I have been avoiding them while I work on my own cookbook- I don’t want to unintentionally copy their work.

I’ve known all along that I’ve wanted to get them an Instant Pot. While browsing them, I see that there are now a number of Instant Pot specific cookbooks. Any that you recommend?

Thank you for sharing. I made some changes though. I always use Great Northern beans for my bean soup. I used Mama Garlic instead of a clove of garlic, and I added some parsley flakes. I forgot about the pepper (literally…I completely forgot). I added cut up carrots and celery. I had large slices of boneless ham to use and I cut that up into bite size pieces before adding (that way when the soup was done it was all ready to eat…and I had 4 people hovering over the IP waiting the soup to get done!). I omitted all of the salt because after I added the water, I added Ham Broth Base & Seasoning (I use Orrington Farms). After the soup was done, I added a few of the celery leaves. I followed the cooking times in the recipe, but my problem was that after 30 minutes of cook time and 20 minutes of natural pressure release, the beans weren’t quite ready (maybe because I didn’t use navy beans, I don’t know). Some of the beans seemed done, but a lot still had too much firmness. I put the lid back on, set if for another 10 minutes and then did a 10 minute npr. The soup turned out perfect.

Comment on Pressure Cooker Macaroni and Cheese by Rich https://www.dadcooksdinner.com/pressure-cooker-macaroni-and-cheese/#comment-46693 Mon, 19 Jun 2017 20:03:01 +0000 http://69.195.124.147/~mikevrob/2013/04/pressure-cooker-macaroni-and-cheese.html/#comment-46693 ANOTHER new family favorite that my kids will actually eat. They had gotten used to grandma’s mac and cheese made with processed cheese (not a fan), so I tried this and they really liked it. My only issue is that I make this with the wings and I have to time it so I can make one and then the other using only 1 instant pot.

He and my wife devoured the ones I made last week, so made them again last night. This time I ‘roasted’ them in a high heat oven instead of the broiler. Came out just as good.
