And, don’t forget to visit Costco.com for information on weekly discounted fresh pork cuts and everything else you’ll need to celebrate “Porktober”.

For more comfort food recipes and inspiration, visit PorkBeinspired.com, Facebook.com/PorkBeinspired, Costco.com and Facebook.com/Costco.

    The Giveaway

It’s time for a giveaway! The National Pork Board and Costco warehouse stores were kind enough provide a prize pack to give to one of my lucky readers.

The Porktober Prize Pack consists of:

    • Pig-shaped cutting board
    • Pig-shaped soup and sandwich set
    • Apron
    • Tumbler
    • Digital meat thermometer
    • $100 Costco Cash Card
    • Costco Gift of Membership card to purchase or renew a membership

    To Enter

Leave a comment on my blog, telling us about your favorite way to grill pork.

Note: on the blog, please. If you found out about the giveaway on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, or another new social media channel that I’m too uncool to know about, please go to DadCooksDinner.com to enter.

    The Fine Print

One entry per person, and please make sure there is some way I can get in touch with you (like a valid email) with the comment. (If you leave an anonymous comment, I can’t contact you to find out where to ship the prize, so you can’t win.) The comment has to be in the “Giveaway: Porktober Prize Pack” post on DadCooksDinner.com, found here: Porktober Prize Pack.

Emails, entries on my Facebook page, retweets, pokes, and lighting the warning beacons of Minas Tirith will not be considered for the drawing. Only entries from North America will be accepted.

Entries will close at 9PM EST on Sunday, October 12th, 2014. I will select the winner at random. The winner will be announced Monday the 13th. If I am unable to contact the winner by Wednesday the 15th, I will pick a new winner.

The Porktober Prize Pack will be shipped directly to the winner by the National Pork Board.

    Good luck, everyone!

My favorite pork for a crowd is pulled pork. I smoke it on the grill and finish in the oven. I make a vinegar sauce and it's the best.

Rotisserie pork with a nice rub. Would like to try doing ribs on the spit.

I grill pork sirloins after they've marinated in a Balsamic Napa marinade for a few hours in the refrigerator.

Grill or smoker? Pork is best on my Smokey Mountain smoker but since you specified grill...pork tenderloin is a fast, easy, delicious week night meal. I marinade in a variety of homemade marinades but my favorite is Asian inspired soy/ginger/pineapple creation.

My favorite this last summer was Alton Brown's Grilled Pork Tenderloin. The post grilling soak in the reserved marinade really infused the flavor.
