    PicOfTheWeek: Chicken in a Pot

Published: Dec 7, 2014 · Modified: Apr 4, 2022 by Mike Vrobel · This post may contain affiliate links · 4 Comments

PicOfTheWeek: Poulet au pot, AKA chicken in a pot. I saw this fantastic Staub rooster pot on a visit to the original Sur La Table store in Seattle, WA a few weeks back. It had to be mine...oh, yes, it had to be mine. (Recipe coming Thursday.)

      Matt,

Seattle was fantastic! A friend suggested a bunch of places; my favorites were Steelhead Diner, Tillikum Place Cafe, and sitting at the butcher’s table at Miller’s Guild. (I also loved my morning latte at Top Pot donuts…then my second on the way to the convention center at Monorail Espresso.)

I hope I get back there someday - this was my first and only visit so far. So much I didn’t get to try out.

Thank you! I made this, nice recipe. Alas, mine looked nowhere near as good as yours does.

      You were in Seattle? Dude...

Did you eat anywhere good? Lots of good BBQ spots around town...

Most of them - dry means "not a sweet wine". Ask at your store for an inexpensive dry white wine and they will point you in the right direction.
