Testing Pressure Cooker Eggs

That’s right, everyone’s doing it – pressure cooker eggs. I had to try it out. (Recipe coming soon.)

Hi! I’m Mike Vrobel. I’m a dad and an enthusiastic home cook; an indie cookbook author and food blogger with a day job, a patient spouse, and three kids who would rather have hamburgers for dinner.

I use a double tier stand in the pot to put the eggs in. I put some water on the bottom of the pot. I set the timer for 1 minute. when done, I turn cooker off and then do a quick release. I then put cold water in the pot. They are perfect each time. Easy to peel. Good luck.

I’ve been cooking 12 – 18 extra large eggs at a time in the Ultra. Low pressure or high pressure, 4 mins or 5 mins, or 6 mins. They all come out thoroughly hard cooked with a green ring aound the yolk. I hope you can find a way to cook them without the green ring.

They all peel really easy though.
