My city holds Trick or Treating on the Sunday before Halloween., to let the kids go out on a non-school night. It...wasn’t the best choice this year. 40°F, overcast...and then a severe thunderstorm blew through, with flashes of lightning sending the little ghouls, goblins, and witches running for their houses. I was giving out candy by the handful to my neighbor kids, and anyone who was brave enough to weather the weather.
For me the treat is my annual bowl of Halloween chili. I keep it simple - my wimpy chili, ground beef and beans. Recipe here: https://www.dadcooksdinner.com/pressure-cooker-ground-beef-and-bean-chili/
