I always make a pot of chili for Halloween. I learned this from my mom; when we came back from trick-or-treating, she would demand we eat some chili, to balance out all the candy we were about to devour.
Now I make it for myself and my family. Late October is the perfect time for a pot of chili - well, frankly, I think any time is the perfect time for chili - and here is one of my recent favorites.
