    Giveaway: Perfect One-Dish Dinners

Perfect One-Dish Dinners: All You Need for Easy Get-Togethers

Maggy Keet, Pam Anderson's daughter and one of the three cooks behind ThreeManyCooks.com was kind enough to send me a copy of Perfect One-Dish Dinners. Since I already bought a copy, we're having a giveaway!

To enter the giveaway, leave a comment in this post on my blog with your favorite one dish meal. What makes a one-dish meal? It's something that I can serve with a salad on the side and not think I'm missing something.
For me, one dish meals start with Chili. And usually end there, because once I start thinking about Chili, I have to make it.

    The Fine Print:
One entry per person, and please make sure there is some way I can get in touch with you through the comment. (In other words...no anonymous comments, unless you identify yourself in the text of the comment.) The comment has to be in this post on DadCooksDinner.com; emails, entries on my Facebook page, and postcards sent by carrier pigeon will not be considered for the drawing. Only entries from North America will be accepted.

Entries will be closed at 9PM EST on Sunday, September 26th and I will randomly select the winner at that point. The winner will be announced Sunday. If I am unable to contact the winner by Wednesday the 29th, I will pick a new winner. Good luck!

[Update 9/26/2010: We have our winner, picked by Random.org - commenter #11, Inspired Kathy.  Congratulations!]

[FCC Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book for my giveaway.]

Pot roast, with carrots and potatoes added in the last hour so they don't become mushy. A simple green salad with a mustard vinaigrette is all it needs. Well, and a glass of wine.

My favorite one dish meal is stew - lamb stew to be exact, made with some barley and carrots and potatoes and red wine and a big loaf of crusty bread!!!

I love, love, love ratatouille. It is a great way to use a lot of veggies from the garden. And, I can get this vegetarian dish by the husband without too much whining. Wouldn't it be awesome if my favorite dish got me a cool cookbook? Even better.

I have to say Beef (or Lamb) stew! And you'd be pleased to know that's a dish "Hubby" makes, not me. 😉

Great giveaway Mike! Thanks for sharing.

Chicken and sauteed vegetables over pasta. A quick and easy way to use up the odds and ends of veggies left in my fridge.

Pot Roast with Potatoes, Carrots, and Onions. If I am feeling fancier (and have company to help eat it) - Osso Bucco.

I thumbed through book at B&N - looks good. And I saw Pamela was on the Today Show.

Chili's also my go to. But sometimes I might make cioppino or pasta e fagioli.

      Zucchini Rice Casserole:
diced zucchini, bell and jalapeno peppers, turkey sausage, pepper jack cheese. Baked, and then dolloped with cream cheese near the end.

A good way to get kids their veggies without them realizing it!

Chicken sauteed with onions. There's a fancy french name for it, but it was one of the first one pot meals I ever made, and still sometimes make to this day.
