Throwback Thursday: Grilled Cheeseburgers

Burgers ready for the grill

Burgers ready for the grill

Programming note: I’m on vacation for most of July, out of town with my family. To keep the blog posts coming, I’m bringing back popular recipes from my archives for Throwback Thursday. (This also forces me to update older the formatting on older recipes. Win-win!)

I do a lot of elaborate recipes on my blog – reverse seared tomahawk steaks, rotisserie chickens, pressure cooker Texas red chili…the list goes on and on.

But, in the real world, I’m a harried dad with a day job, and on a summer weeknight, my family’s favorite dinner is burgers. Nothing fancy, nothing elaborate, just ground beef, a bun, and cheese. (Of course, I’ll throw in some grilled onions, just because I can’t help myself.)

Hi! I’m Mike Vrobel. I’m a dad and an enthusiastic home cook; an indie cookbook author and food blogger with a day job, a patient spouse, and three kids who would rather have hamburgers for dinner.
