Love that Irish toast Mike.
Also love corned beef. On Sunday, I made Meredith Lawrence’s recipe for corned beef. Instead of the spice packet included with the corned beef, I used the spices Meredith’s recipe called for. To be honest, I like the enclosed spice packets I’ve had in the past better though I can’t speak for this particular envelope of spices as I didn't use it. I thought Meredith's recipe was a little heavy on the taste of cloves. In the past I’ve gotten Grobbel’s brand of corned beef from Sam’s, used the enclosed spice packet and loved the resulting corned beef. Unfortunately Sam's no longer carries Grobbel’s but instead sells corned beef under their own label, Member’s Mark. I've written to Grobbel's asking if any market near me carries it, but have received no response.
